Moon

 Will you

When the moon peeked through the clouds,

Moon

I hurriedly clicked it, little blur

That white circle hid behind its vapourous-shield,

I asked for second debut That shield formed a fort

Fort defended it's bald prince

This went for whole night

 Finally, I vented my rage

By morning, several boats

made of paper were

sailing on its Tears.

Territory lost v/s one picture

- Prachi Sharma

This is a poem that expresses the frustration and disappointment of the poet who wanted to capture the beauty of the moon in a photograph, but was unable to do so because of the clouds. The poet uses various metaphors and personifications to describe the moon and the clouds, such as:

- The moon is a white circle that hid behind its vapourous-shield, implying that it was obscured by the clouds.

- The poet asked for second debut, meaning that they wanted the moon to reappear from behind the clouds.

- The clouds formed a fort that defended its bald prince, suggesting that they were protecting the moon from being seen or photographed by the poet.

- The poet  vented her rage by attacking her using naval force, next day several boats made of paper were sailing on the moon's tears, implying that moon wept by my furious nature. The paper boats could also symbolize their hopes and dreams that were shattered by the clouds.

- The poet compares moon's loss as a chance to be clicked like loss of territory, as soon her naval force (paper boats) will attack moon in sky.

Creativily emotions and thoughts of the poet are expressed, who was fascinated by the moon, but could not capture its beauty in a photograph. The poem also shows how nature can be unpredictable and sometimes interfere with human desires.
